Womb 2 The Tomb

Finally the video for "Womb 2 The Tomb" has been released featuring my two favorite new artists, Pill and Freddie Gibbs.  Last week I posted "The Dash" without realizing that it was a prelude to the release of this video.  I don't know how it got by me, but now the link is pretty damn clear.  I recommend watching "The Dash" first in order to get the full experience, as Pill and Freddie Gibbs definitely went for a more cinematic route.  We'll see these two talented artists collaborate more in the future, and I'm not alone in hoping for a full album from the pair.

International

Sure, there's nothing particularly special about this song, but Chali 2na is criminally underrated.  With the voice and the flow, it seems like he could go higher in the game, but his new album barely got a mention anywhere.  Until a couple of weeks ago I wasn't even aware of its existence, and it's a shame for an MC of his stature to be overlooked.

This Shit Is Automatic Like That Thing Under My Shirts

Jay Rock has been on the grind.  In a fight to get noticed, he's been releasing one song every day for a month, as well as a video each week.  It's not a new gimmick, but it seems to be working for him.  Though everybody and they momma has released their own version of "D.O.A.," Rock (in typical fashion) goes the hardest on it.  He copies Hov's rhyme structure in full, showing his skill within a framework listeners are already familiar with.  It's not his best from this project, but it's a good introduction if you're not already familiar with the guy.
